About	Stefan Ried, 71, passed away on August 11, 2018 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky. He was born in Fremont on December 22, 1946 to the late Glenn Frank and Frieda Elizabeth (Hetrick) Ried. After graduating from Fremont Ross in 1965, Stefan served his country during Vietnam in the Navy. He worked for the Sandusky County Sheriffs Department as a Deputy, retired from the Fremont Police Department as a Police Officer in 1995, and most recently retired from Vanguard and Sentinel as a Truant Office. On August 26, 1972 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, he married Marian Fairall. Stefan was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating. Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Marian; children, Eric Michael Ried and Stefanne Erin Ried both of Fremont; grandsons, Xavier Augustin, Xander Shay, and Donovan Michael Ried; and sister, Janese Lynette Ried of Fremont. Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses at the North Coast Cancer (Sandusky)/Cleveland Clinic who helped Stefan along his journey. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Sandusky County Humane Society, Stein Hospice, or St. John’s Lutheran Church.
