About | R. Steve Brynildsen, 66, of Emmaus, passed away February 17, 2024. He and his wife, Nancy M. (Huch) Brynildsen, would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in June. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Robert Harold and Nancy (Tiffany) Brynildsen. A 1976 graduate of Freedom High School, Steve earned a bachelor’s degree from Moravian College with a dual major in Business and History. He was an avid fan of military history collectibles and books, and operated a business called Viking Miniatures. Steve enjoyed painting toy soldiers and was involved with American Revolution Reenactments in which he usually played a British Grenadier soldier. He liked to watch Eagles football games on television and enjoyed wrestling. He was a past president of the Takedown Club in Emmaus. Steve was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem. He was very fond of the family dog Valkyrie and cat Caesar. A devoted husband, father and brother, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy; three sons, Steven, and wife Misty of Topton, Gregory and Nathan, both of Emmaus; two sisters, Carolyn Baunach, and husband Chad of Bangor and Kimberly Shavor and husband Brian of Glen Mills, PA; two grandchildren, Jubilee and Leif; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 2, in the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, 2344 Center Street, Bethlehem. Family and friends may call from 10 - 11 AM Saturday before the service begins. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem. |
