Bill Haynes taught Marine Biology and coached football for the Flying Ls for 26 years. Known as one of FLHS most favorite teachers he touched many young lives through his creative hands on teaching methods. After retiring from FLHS he continued teaching at Marine Resourses Development Foundation in Key Largo, Fl until retiring for good to Dunnellon, Fl. He lived out the rest of his days living and fishing on a lake with his wife, Sande Haynes.
His family is planning on having his remains dedicated to to the sea he so loved through an artificial reef in a memorial sea garden off the coast of Ft. Lauderdale.
If you would like to donate to the project to help Coach Haynes live on in the reefs he so loved please go to:
If you are interested in attending the Dedication at Sea on Feb 18 or the services before contact me on Facebook or email me at rehab47@gmail.com
for more information.
Please help me spread the word to all the FLHS students he loved.
Thank You,
Laura Haynes Kiess
