Favorite School Memory	When I think back to my high school days, I think of the friendships I formed. I eventually married one of those friends.
About Me	I graduated from ICCC in 1971 and then continued my education at the University of Iowa, graduating with a BSN degree in 1973. I married highschool classmate Jerry Ashenfelter in 1972. I worked two years in the Dept. of Ophthalmology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Jerry and I lived in Washington, Iowa, from 1975 to 1980. Our two daughters were born during this time. In 1976 I went with the Karl King Band to Washington, D.C. We moved to Le Mars, Iowa, in 1980. I was a stay-at-home mom, then returned to the work force in 1999. I am active at my church as choir director and member of the handbell choir. I am a 29-year member of the Le Mars Municipal Band, serving as publicist, secretary, and refreshments organizer. I am a member of P.E.O. Chapter CD in Le Mars.
