Anthony Munie Obituary
Anthony Munie, age 74 of Van Buren Twp., MI, passed away on April 26, 2026, at Trinity Health Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born on November 23, 1951, in Detroit, MI.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Lillian (Pohutsky) Munie.
He worked for many years as a fabricator and building maintenance before retirement. Anthony was a talented and an amazing artist. He liked to work with pottery and after learning to bevel glass he began to make leaded glass windows which lead to owning his on business "Dearborn Glass And Bevels" in Dearborn, MI. Anthony loved vegetable gardening and was also known as "Mr. Fix It."
He encountered several health issues but managed to continue in spite of them.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 42 years Claudia Zaremba of Van Buren Twp, MI, his siblings Walter (Barbara) Munie of Commerce Twp, MI, Rita Dunning-Zaremba, of MI, Michaelene (Chuck) Gillis of Redford, MI, Estelle Kiser Concord, of NC, and David (Carrie) Munie, of Dearborn, MI, his niece, Sarah Kiser Jordan, five nephews and 2 great nephews, as well as many friends and neighbors. He will be dearly missed.
Arrangements by the David C. Brown Funeral Home, 460 E Huron River Dr. Belleville, MI 48111. A memorial is being planned at a later date.
