Have served in Germany, Alaska, Washington, Texas, Kansas, and Rhode Island. Recently returned from the country of Georgia where I participated in a Humanitarian Assistance mission after the Georgian-Russian war.

USAF volunteer on Delayed Enlistment program, entered service July 8,1970. Basic at Lackland AFB, Medic tech school at Sheppard AFB. Stationed in AL, MI, LA,TX, England thru 1984. Switched to Army Medic. Stationed at Ft Belvoir, VA and Ft Bragg, NC. with 4th PSYOP Gp, 1st Bn, Airborne, JFK Special Warfare Center. Now a dual-service Disabled Vet. The heart was willing, but the knees weren't! Awarded AF Commendation Medal, AF Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Medal amongst others. Proud of my military career accomplishments. Enjoyed every minute!

I started as a tanker, driving and shooting tanks, then reclassified as a medic. I went to Airborne and Ranger school, then to Mogadishu (ever see Blackhawk Down?). I spent a few years as a Ranger, then went Special Forces. I served a total of 16 years, did 5 combat tours and multiple deployments, and was medically retired due to wounds received in combat my last tour in Iraq. The picture is of the surgery after my gunshot wound (I was shot by a sniper).
