Mary Travis Riggs lost her battle with ALS on Sunday, July 31, 2022. She passed peacefully at home in Virginia Beach, VA, surrounded by family, at the age of 62. Her final weeks were filled with lots of laughter and love.
Mary leaves behind her husband of 36 years, David, her sons: Bill (Christina) and Tim (Faeryn), her sisters: Maggie (Fred) and Carol “KK” (Jack), and many other extended relatives.
Per Mary’s wishes, we held a beautiful living Celebration of Life service with her in June at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, where her friends and family were able to visit her and give tribute. She preferred this instead of a memorial service after her death.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to the ALS Association.
