May 2, 2003 Thomas A. Burt, 54, of Jamesville, died of a heart attack following an accident near Hatch Lake. A native of Syracuse, he graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School and attended Case Western Reserve, Cleveland. He was a technical assistant at SUNY Morrisville. He served three years in the Army, stationed at Ft. Devens. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a Boy Scout Master of Troop 115, a member and teacher of RAGS, a Ham Radio Operator with the call letters AB2EL, and participated in ACT Plays. Survivors: His wife of 27 years, Elaine; his children, Stephen, Emily, and Joella; his mother, Reva of Manlius; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Betsy of Cazenovia; four nephews and a niece-in-law.
