Archie was a long time Farwell resident. A wonderful friend to the classmates, and it was a honor to have known him as he left us at a young age of 40.

Dannie Garver, 42, of Lake, passed away suddenly on April 14, 2011, in Midland. He was born on Nov. 25, 1968, in Mount Pleasant, the son of Arlene Garver and Danny Garver. Dannie was united in marriage to Amy Walker on May 8, 2009, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dannie has lived in Clare County all of his life. He worked as a chemical operator at The Dow Chemical Co. for the last 21 years, and was a committee man for the United Steelworkers Local 12075. Always dedicated to his job, he will be missed greatly by all those he had the pleasure of working with. He loved riding his Harley, camping, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. He was always the first person to offer help to anyone in need.

Surviving Dannie are his loving wife, Amy Garver of Lake; his two stepsons, Tyler and Jake Mester; his mother, Arlene Garver and his father, Danny Garver both of Clare; a sister, Diana Garver of Central Lake, sister Ashley Unruh of Harrison; and his brother, Danny Garver of San Diego, Calif.; as well as many other family members and friends.

Butch enjoyed being around friends and family. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War time and retired from GMC Truck and Bus after 30 years.

Diana was a friend that was very involved in several youth projects throughout the years after graduating. She liked to attend the reunions of the class and enjoyed seeing old friends.

Doug lived in Farwell most of his life and was well known in the community. He was a good friend to those that knew him.

Gary was a friend to everyone he met and is missed by all that knew him. Gary served in the Vietnam War, was married to the love of his life and enjoyed being a husband, father and grandfather. Gary always said that the classmates was his family and he lived for family and friends.

Glenn was a very special friend to all that he met. He worked as an X-Ray Technician for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and stamp collecting, as well as being with friends and family.

James “Jimmy” E. Green age 39, passed away suddenly Saturday, February 16, 2008 in Wisconsin. Jimmy was born the son of James W. and Connie (Ervin) Green on December 29, 1968 in Clare. He was united in marriage to Jane Mitchell on March 13, 1993 at the Clare United Methodist Church. He had served his country as a Military Policeman in the Army. Jimmy was a Heavy Equipment Operator with Local 324. He was a lifelong resident of the Clare County area. Jimmy loved spending time with his wife and children; he enjoyed working with his dad and brother on his dad’s racecar. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and working with his hand. Jimmy was remembered as always being ready to help a hand to others.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Jane; his children Megan, Jordan and Joseph; his parents James and Connie Green; his brother Jeffrey (Amy) Green; his Father and Mother-in-law Robert and Sharla Mitchell; his maternal grandmother Elizabeth Ervin; and numerous other family and friends.

John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietman War. He worked for the Dow Chemical Company, retiring in 1990. He lived in Midland. He will be remembered by the fellow classmates of 1963.

Kelly Engelbert Buffardi, 42 of Brooksville passed away April 8, 2011at Oak Hill Hospital after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born in Detroit, Michigan and came to Florida 14 years ago from Clinton Township, Michigan. Kelly was Catholic by faith, was attending Hernando Pasco Community College studying to become a Meteorologist, and was a supportive Dance mother of her 2 girls, Madison and Bailey who attended John Leggio’s Dance Studio.
She is predeceased by her husband Aaron who was a Pasco Deputy Sheriff in 2006.
Kelly is survived by her 2 beautiful daughters; Madison Buffardi (14) and Bailey Buffardi (12) of Brooksville, mother; Sandra Engelbert of Spring, TX., father; Steve Engelbert of Weidman, MI., sister; Kathryn Loomis (Joe) of Spring, TX., brother; Kenneth Engelbert (Debra) of Warren, MI., grandmother; Rita Engelbert of Macomb Township, MI., several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, loved ones and friends.

Joy was a friend that you could count on to stand behind you. She enjoyed being a mother , grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also volunteer fireman for the township she lived in.

Mike was raised in Farwell. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. He was voted best dancer during his school years and was a very good friend to the people that knew him.

The memories of this teacher and advisor of the class of 1963 was many. He was the drivers ed. instructor for our class as well as coach. The classmates remember him fondly. He was a fantastic person and it was a pleasure to have known him.

She was a wonderful teacher and advisor to the class of 1963. She will be greatly missed as she was a great inspiration to all. She attended our class reunions almost everytime we had them, even when her health declined we kept in touch with her.

Neil joined the Farwell class of 1963 when Lake schools merged with Farwell. He spent his entire life in this area. He owned and operated the Lake Roller Rink which had been in the family for years.
