About Event

Hello Friends,

It’s that time, yet again, that we come together and see one another for OUR 30-year reunion!!!!

First, if you have received this information twice, then you are on the Farmington High School’s alumni list, where I used their site also, so, sorry if you are annoyed. Get used to it, because I am not sure I have everyone’s email address.

Second, we will be communicating almost everything through email and Face Book. Yup, we are still 10 years behind, Go 88. So, check both and if I don’t respond right away FB me, I check that once a month (just kidding, I check twice).

Next, for the last two reunions, I have asked people that I know AND I also put out an email (FB this year) about the date in which we will have our “shin dig.” For the past reunions, I have pretty much received an overwhelming response to do it on the 4th of July weekend because of people working and this would be the easiest time to set a vacation. Again, I have asked so many people and the overwhelming response is the week of July 4th. So, this year’s reunion will be on July 6th and 7th. I am sorry for those of you who are totally mad and frustrated at me, but the group has spoken. I can tell you this, the biggest reason why most people chose July was that school was back in on Labor Day weekend. Also, several people counted out June because of school still being in for some. Anyway, yell, scream and cuss me out…I’m used to it. Let the angry emails fly, I still love ya.

Lastly, I need your help. I received an overwhelming amount of people who are interested in coming to the reunion, almost a hundred. I just need a hundred more to make me happy and claim to the last classes why we are STILL the best class of the 80s. So, if you can, please forward this email to everyone you know and make sure that they pass it along too. Our class was so large and it’s only by us sending it out to one another that I can make my goal. IF, two hundred people from our class sign up for emails, I’ll do a belly dance for everyone. Okay, that sounded awkward and weird. I’ll think of something better, not so disgusting.

Anyway, cheers, and if you have any ideas of what you want to do for reunion, my email is now open.

One last cheer:
We’ve got a rope,
We’ve got a tree,
All we need is a referee!

Best,
Mark Gould

Hey Class of 88,

Here we go. Show time. You like our theme this year… “Get Over It, and Come to the Reunion.” Seriously, stop life for a few days and take some time to walk down memory lane, because your old stomping ground is good for the soul. If you are already living in Farmington, it’s good for soul to hang with some old friends. Okay, enough of the lecturing, I’ll do some more later.

Here is the Itinerary:

FRIDAY NIGHT: July 6, 2018 -Welcome and Hang Out:

Where: Artifacts-(302 E Main St, Farmington, NM 87401)

Time: 6pm- 9pm

We will be getting together for drinks and some BBQ (provided by Carl Dallas, class of 85’ president)

Afterwards we will be doing a pub crawl through Main St., and Broadway. Or, whatever pub you guys want to hang out at. I was just there two weeks ago, and I can’t tell you in an email how awesome the pubs are. Downtown is so COOL now and arty in the inside, but still has the nostalgia of Farmington on the outside. You will be blown away.

SATURDAY DAY: July 7, 2018 -Brunch and Tour

Where: Elk’s Lodge (801 N Municipal Dr, Farmington, NM 8740)

FHS Tour (2200 N Sunset Ave, Farmington, NM 8740)

Time: 11:00-12:30 Brunch and then…

1:00-2:00pm Tour FHS

Of course, we need to eat more than once a day. So, we will start with a nice little brunch at the Elk’s lodge and then get a tour of the new FHS. I did a tour two weeks ago and you won’t believe what you are about to see, it’s worth it.

SATURDAY NIGHT: July 7, 2018 -Dinner and Dance

Where: Wines of the San Juan

Time: 5pm- 11pm (Tentative Schedule)

You will not believe how amazingly beautiful this venue is. AND, they have some of the best wines in NM (plus, free wine tasting.) Don’t worry gentlemen, there will be beer there. But, I promise you, this is not the airport. It is a beautiful outdoor space that will make you miss NM. Don’t worry if you don’t want to drive to the venue, transportation will be available. Remember, we have to keep safe since we are almost adults now.

PRICING: (This is cheap folks)

Friday Night Only: $20

The Whole Package: $100 per person or $175 for a couple (you will have to pay for your own drinks, last time it cost Cody and myself some big $$$)

You can pay through Paypal.com (don’t forget to put your name in notes)

Fhs1988class@gmail.com

Or, if you want to mail a check:
