About	James “JB” B. Bazzell, age 90, of Clayton, peacefully passed away at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton on Monday, April 14, 2026. He was born to the late Raymond and Jewel (Henley) Bazzell on May 19, 1935, in Marmaduke, Arkansas. JB was a principal for over 30 years with Kettering Fairmont School District until his retirement. He started working in the education system as an English teacher and counselor for Bellbrook School District. JB and his wife, Janet, owned their own ceramic shop, Carriage House Ceramics for years. He was a proud member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity at Wittenberg University. JB is survived by his Children: Dawn (James) Peoples, Lori (Shawn) Webb, and Christopher (Novena) Bazzell; Grandchildren: Chelsea (Brandon), Jordan, Jayson (Sidney), Courtney (Ryan), Keaton (Taura), Case, Summer (Mike), and Joshua (Lauren); 10 Great Grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his Wife of 57 years: Janet (Salisbury) Bazzell; and Siblings: Levita Ricks and Robert Bazzell. A Funeral Service for JB will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 20, 2026, at Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd. Englewood, OH 45322) Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens (8200 W National Rd. New Carlisle, OH 45344) The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
