Mary Ruth Fletcher 72 of Charleston, formerly of Dayton, OH died at her residence Sunday, Nov. 26, after a long illness. She was a W.A.C. in World War II and graduated from the University of Dayton with a Master’s Degree. She was a retired schools teacher. She is survived by her daughter Rebekah L Gerling of Charleston, WV., one brother, Bill and wife Lois Casebolt of Fairborn, OH, two grandchildren, Benjamin and David Gerling. A memorial service will be held Monday, Dec. 4 at 2:30 pm at Central Presbyterian Church Lamme Rd, Dayton, OH. The family requests memorials take the form of donations to Kanawha Hospice 1143 Dunbar Ave, Dunbar WV. 25064. Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home in Charleston WV is in charge of arrangements.
