Richard Ray Weirbach, 76, of Ottumwa, Iowa, died at 5:36 p.m. November 1, 2022 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, Iowa.
He was born September 24, 1946 in Fairfield to Edward Ray and Leora Gertrude Given Weirbach.
A graduate of Fairfield High School, he had worked for 35 years at John Deere Ottumwa Works, retiring as machine shop supervisor in 2000.
He enjoyed building and racing flat track motorcycles and he loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids.
Surviving are his children, Ted (Cameron) Weirbach of San Antonio, Texas, Emily (Mike) Cadell of Waco, Texas and Heather Knight of Ottumwa, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Hunter Cadell, Sydney Cadell, Mallory Cadell, Zane Weirbach and Mae Elizabeth Weirbach; a great-grandson, Deacon Jones; sisters, Norma Emerson and Jeannie Cocheran both of Fairfield; his companion, Melody Williams and her children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Weirbach and a sister, Shirley Hahn.
His body has been cremated and private services will be held at a later date.
