I actually spent a winter there - when you see pictures of solders in the Koren War and they say how cold it was - believe them!!! I was there for 8 weeks and I think the temp got up to a balmy -9 degrees once. I also spent time in NAS Cubi Point in the Phillippines. The first time we went there we were there for 4 weeks - it rained the entire time we were there - almost 120 inches of rain!! I also spent time on Guam and the lovely Midway Island. After my time in Hawaii I was transfered to MCAS Yuma Az. I rose to the rank of Sergant.
