Mary M. (Siebert) Elliott, 75, of Delta passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born Oct. 24, 1942, in Lansing, Mich., to the late Reinold and Eva (Hauser) Siebert. She married Duane Elliott on June 26, 1965, and he survives.

Mary graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's degree in Education. At BGSU, she was an active member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Mary started her teaching career in Fruitport Mich.; other schools she taught at included Hicksville Exempted, Evergreen, Delta, and Fayette. She concluded her career at Napoleon High School where she taught both German and Spanish. She retired in 2005 after over 30 years of teaching. During her teaching career, she was a member of the Napoleon Education Association, the Northwest Ohio Education Association, the National Education Association, and the Ohio Education Association. After retirement, Mary enjoyed reading books, and was an avid fan of Michigan State sports. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

Also left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Donna Elliott (Scott Mowery) of Sylvania; sons, Doug (Heather) Elliott of Marysville, Ohio, and Dan (Joetta) Elliott of Delta; and grandchildren, Ava, Olivia, Alissa, Nathan, Jaxon, and Bowen.

Funeral services for Mary will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2018, at North Clinton Church, 831 W. Linfoot St., Wauseon. Interment will follow in Winameg Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at the church.

Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Greater Northwest Ohio Diabetes Association
