About	Teresa (Terri) Herrera entered eternal life on April 1, 2020 at the age of 68. Terri was born on February 17, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas to the late Guadalupe and Ramona (Gonzales) Urive. She married Jesus Herrera on January 27, 1972. Her family will miss her laughter and her humble spirit. Teresa retired from Lubbock ISD and worked at Wolfforth Elementary and Guadalupe Elementary campuses. She was an active volunteer for many years and involved with civic groups that promoted folkloric dance, culture events, and women issues. She chaired various community parades for numerous years, and her volunteer work was recognized by the Hispanic Association of Woman. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Teresa is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jesus Herrera; three sons, Christopher, Jesse, Jr., Marcelino and spouse Christina Herrera; two daughters, Jessica and Faith; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Lupe, Jr., and spouse Elida, Robert, Sr. and spouse Lupe, Jim, Jerry and spouse Cynthia, Albert; sisters, Linda Sosa and spouse Joe, and Penny Morin and Spouse Deacon Joe; and several extended family and friends. Terri was preceded in death by her brothers, Santos, Gilbert, and Alfredo; and sister, Janie.
