Served onboard the USS Intrepid CVS11, The USS Forrest Sherman DD931, USS Edison DD946, and Fleet Training Center, San Diego. Made 4 trips to Viet Nam.

Marine Corps, 8 Years
Served 4 years with Infantry Unit 1st Bn 7th Marines in 29 Palms CA. Spent 2 six month tours in Okinawa during that time as well as Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, Africa. Spent last four years at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in Santa Ana, CA as a Logistics Chief before seperating.

Served 4 years with Infantry Unit 1st Bn 7th Marines in 29 Palms CA. Spent 2 six month tours in Okinawa during that time as well as Operation Restore Hope in Somalia, Africa. Spent last four years at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in Santa Ana, CA as a Logistics Chief before seperating.
Randall Bristlin
Class of 1965
Army, 3 Years
assigned to a top cryto unit that provided top secret intel from various sources in Germany for 17 months. Volunteered for Viet Nam from 1968 to 1969 with same unit. Guarded 24/7 in a vault with the commanding general, Creighton Abrams. Also guarded by Vietnamese police where we were housed(off site from military bases). Was a unique experience working with all the high ranking officials and my special friend LTC Dorr who planned all the bombings in Viet Nam. Probably would not volunteer again as it changes one mind set.

Our Estacada High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Estacada High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Estacada are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
