Army, 2 Years
Volunteered for the draft in 1968. Served from 1968 to 1970. Assigned to the 2nd Squadron/3rd Armored Cavalry located at Fort Lewis, Washington. Duties included APC driver, Recon Scout and Courts and Boards Clerk. Participated in Reforger 1 to Germany during the Russian invasion of Czechoslovlakia in 1969.
Attained rank of Specialist E-5.
Received an early out to return to Mars Hill College.

(Retired 1 April 2000).

What a garden spot of the country! Was lucky that I got to continue to play aviation till I retired in the fall of 2013.
