About Dave, of Port Orange, FL, passed away after a lengthy illness with heart problems.

Dave was born in Akron, Ohio on December 3, 1941, to Paul and Louise Harlin. He entered into the United States Air Force in 1960 and proudly served for 4 years. Upon returning home from England, Dave joined Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as an administrative clerk. Dave worked up the ranks becoming North Amercian Marketing Manager of OTR tires and retired after 37 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved golf, fishing, painting, cooking, and NASCAR racing. He was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with friends and jus relaxing on his porch. Dave also considered himself to be a very fortunate man because he found love not once, but twice in his lifetime. First with his beloved Joyce, with whom he raised a family; and again when reunited with his high school sweetheart Cathy, with whom he enjoyed his last ten years of life.

Survived by his devoted wife of ten years, Catherine; daughter, Dawn and husband Dan Moeglin of Canton; son, David Harlin and wife Vicki of Topeka, KS; and daughter, Denise and husband Chris Windisch of Brook Park; son, David Paul of Brighton, England; stepson, David Pfeiffer of Akron; and step-daughter, Cheryl and husband Steve Dailey of Akron. He also left behind 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Joyce (Mills) Harlin; his parents; Paul and Louise Harlin of Cuyahoga Falls; his brother, Jeff Harlin of Cuyahoga Falls and his sister, Paula Harlin of Portland.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm at the Rossi Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Minister Ed Carter officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
