As promised, your Reunion Committee has planned a fun weekend of activities for our 40-year class reunion. We hope you can join us for all – or at least some – of the activities on July 21, 22 and 23. Our goals in planning this weekend were: fun, informal, inexpensive. We have planned multiple low-cost or free events, none of which requires any fancier clothes than your nicest pair of blue jeans. If you are on Facebook, you have already seen this. If not, well here goes...
Now I will be asking for money! It's getting close. Here's what I need you to do. If you are going to attend, please send $10 per person to: Bob Harris 218 Homewood Ave Akron OH 44312. Include your name, females make sure you state your maiden name, and males if you married with in our class your spouses maiden name. Here's what you get for $10, an array of appetizers, chips/salsa, sandwiches and whatnot buffet style. Cash bar. We will have the room to ourselves until 10pm, and a DJ will provide music beginning at around 7-7:30. I am asking and hoping that I can get you folks to dig through those photo albums and send me a disc of pictures that can be played on the big screen. I realize it was the days before digitalization and we didn't take 30 photos a day, but I know y'all got somethin' to contribute. I think that is all, since I am 53 now I don't always remember everything. If I think of something later, I'll send out another news letter. Don't dilly dally around, get us those checks! We need a head count to better order the food. If you review the invite list and you don't see someone on it that you have contact with PLEASE let them know. We are NOT sending snail mail this year. Akron Turner Club - - The Turner Club is a private club. Address 547 Munroe Falls Rd, Tallmadge ( the old aqua springs). We will have our own entrance, restrooms, bartender, etc. We will also have access to the lawn.

This is a very informal event. Quite like the mixer we had last August. Except this year we have a room to ourselves, a band, and food. As a special treat the entertainment (band) will be provided by some of your very own classmates! Also, we will be opening it up to any musicians in the class that may want to play a song or jam with the band/classmates. Bring your own guitar or instrument.

We will be gathering for a Tailgate Party on Friday, August 22 for the first football of the 2008-2009 season. Ellet will be kicking off the season against the Springfield Swaprats at Ellet at 7:30. Tickets are Presale (at the school office) $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for kids (all the presale goes directly to the school) At the gate the tickets are $5.00 for everyone (this money goes directly to the boosters) We will provide hotdogs and chips and pop. Please bring a snacks and drinks to share. Of course beer is not permitted on the grounds. All we ask is that you make a donation to help defray the cost of the food and enable us to continue to get together for future events.
