About	Ray Lee Davis, age 74, of Ellet, passed away unexpectedly, August 31, 2014 at Summa Hospital. Ray was born July 29,1940 in Akron, the son of the late Wallace and Annabelle (Larimore) Davis and lived in the Ellet area his entire life. He graduated from Ellet High School in 1958 and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He married the love of his life, Jacqueline Wissinger on February 6, 1965. He worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber, retiring after 34 years of service. Ray was a craftsman excelling in egg artistry. Among the many craft shows in which he participated were the Yankee Peddler Festival and the Shaker Woods Festival. He enjoyed going to Florida for the winter and international travels. He was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church where he served as trustee and elder. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wallace Jr. (Wilda), Ted (Mary), and Edward; sisters, Shirley (Don), Jackie (John) and Sandra. In addition to his wife, Jacqueline; Ray is survived by sons, Christopher of Akron and Stephen (Karen) of Ft. Myers, Fla.; three granddaughters, Krystal, Kayla and Skyler; and a sister, Mary Lou of Nevada. Ray's family will receive friends Tuesday, September 9th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Avenue in Akron. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brian Nutt officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Akron Police K-9 Retirement Fund, 217 High St., Akron 44308 or Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Ave., Akron 44312.
