About	La Von Sabatino, 71, passed away January 25, 2012. Born in Akron, La Von lived all her life in the Akron area. She graduated from Ellet High School and The University of Akron. La Von retired from the Akron Public Schools as a teacher and counselor in 1997 after 34 years of service. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. La Von was a double A golfer. She had a home in Sun City West, Arizona and she traveled throughout Europe, the Caribbean Islands, South America, and Alaska. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sabatino and parents, Lewis and Ira Hiller. La Von is survived by her cousins, Judi and Frank Granger and Michael and Deborah Keever; special friends, Paul and Marilyn Sabatino and family, Dennis Altieri, The John Brunner Family, Tommy and Jennette Brunner, The Goodson family from Virginia, Linda Herrington, Carol LaLakus, Bud and Linda Marsten, Jackie and Mike Sonderman, Jan Goff; and many other friends and relatives. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (on the Historic Tallmadge Circle), with Pastor Sheila Hershberger and Father Dismas Byarugaba officiating. Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
