Carl passed in January of 2018.
Good friend, Jay DeWald ('65) shared what he had learned...
"He had stomach cancer, which is surprising since he had such a healthy living style, but I guess you never know. Thought I would pass that along. I was married to his sister Diana back in the late 60’s into the 70’s. Carl lived in the Santa Cruz area during the last part of his life and his sister took care of him until he passed away (rather suddenly/quickly, it seems). He will be missed."
