Air Force, 20+ Years
Joined following graduation. Served in France, Spain, 2 tours in Vietnam, Guam, Germany, and of course the US. Retired after 23 years of service.

3 years in the Marines, Stationed in San Diego, Ocean Side and 29 palms. all in California. Also spent 2 years in the Navy Reserve.

Jim Moreland
Class of 1970
Air Force, 30 Years
Started in 1972 after getting a low draft number. E1-E-6 as a Law Enforcement Specialist, and was then Commissioned in the USAF Medical Service Corps where I went from 2Lt to Colonel, retiring in 2002 with 30 years, 6 months and a few days total service. Moved 19 times in 30 years and served overseas tours in Taiwan, Korea, Philippines, Japan (Okinawa), and then Hawaii before returning to Texas in 1993.

Have served full time in the Army and Army Reserve for 19.5 years now...Served in the Infantry, Artillery, and Crash Rescue buisness. Been deployed to Honduras, Cuba, Iraq, and Panama. Currently a Sergeant First Class.

Our El Dorado High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our El Dorado High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
