| About Me | Oh, good grief. I've been busy. Currently live in New Cairo, Egypt, married to a retired 2-star general. Got my Ph.D. Retired from 24+ years in the U.S. military as a major, began in the Navy as a recruit just after high school. My eldest daughter spent 4 years in the navy; my younger daughter has been a chief air traffic controller in the navy for the past 10 years. I guess she's going to be a lifer like her mom! I've traveled to about 14 countries. I've seen Mt. Fuji at sunrise, the glory of the great cathedrals and the Egyptian Pyramids at nightfall. Once upon a time, I raised horses and had a ranch outside of Barstow, CA. Lived for about 20 years in Hawaii, traveled throughout the islands while on active duty with the Hawaii Army National Guard. Raised my younger daughter in Hawaii. Then left for Cairo, Egypt, where I married a long-lost love whom I had met when I was a second lieutenant on duty in Maryland. The list goes on, hopefully.
