Has the supposed end of the world got you down? How about a little party to ease your troubled mind? How about no cover charge? (Free : ) We're throwing our cares to the wind, and we'd like you to join us. (Open to all Vaqueros, and their adult family & close friends) To RSVP, search "End of the World Party" in the facebook search engine. Here's the drill: - A finger-food potluck (menu/instructions coming soon) - Live entertainment by "Wishbone" & *special guests* - Followed by karaoke - Capped off with an encore or three, (with the volume turned up : ) "Wishbone" is back together, (after 21-years), and playing this gig. (Wishbone was the house-band at the Bacchanal back in the day). They opened for: Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, Robby Krieger of the Doors, Eric Burdon of the Animals, Foghat, The Little River Band, Leon Russell, the Guess Who, and Julian Lennon. But wait - there's more (we've got some very *special guests*) Sitting in with Wishbone: *Richie Ray Klaar (Lead guitar & vocals for "LIXX") *Rob Margargal (Lead guitar & vocals for "All Liquored Up") By the way, "Wishbone" is: Gerry Sprecco (Bass guitar & vocals) Sean Fogerty (Lead guitar & vocals) Barry Blea (Lead guitar) Tim Linnehan (Drums) Possibly/Hopefully sitting in: Shawn Wilkey (Yet another local legend : ) Russ Espinoza (Need I say more? : ) With no microphones on the drums, the guitars won't be turned up to rock concert levels, so picture how intimate and cool this setting will be. If you want to karaoke, then you should send me your song request soon because karaoke slots are going to fill up fast. The probability of an after-party = High Probability. Class of 1984: Please forgive me my mistakes from my 2009 reunion organizing campaign, and RSVP to this great event. Please don't hold it against me for pushing our 25-year reunion real hard. I would do it all over again if it meant getting 130 of us back together.
