Ronald Dean Zerr, 79, of Yakima, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family. Ronald was born on June 14, 1938, to Leonard and Agnes (Andreas) Zerr. He graduated from Eisenhower High School and enlisted in the Army where he served for two years. Ronald married Charlotte (Collier) Zerr on January 20, 1962, and together they had four children and eight grandchildren. Ronald was an avid hunter and fisherman. He played fast pitch softball, coached baseball and was a huge fan of the Seattle Mariners and Gonzaga Bulldogs. Ronald worked for F&M construction as a painter for over 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50-plus years, Charlotte Zerr. Ronald is survived by his children Kimberly (Zerr) Ottem and husband Sidney, Candice Zerr, Ronald Zerr, Jr., and Tami (Zerr) Rich; and grandchildren Trevor Heilman, Cheyenne Ottem, McKenzi Rich, Ron Zerr, III, Tanner Rich, Lauren Ottem, Payton Stark, and Brody Zerr.
A Memorial Service is planned for Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W. Prospect, Moxee, WA 98936). Brookside Funeral Home is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left at www.brooksidefhc.com.
