Now am a high school teacher (physics, algebra, and algebra II) in San Diego, CA. Assist in coaching football and track.

Mark Spurrier

Navy Reserves, 25 Years
Enlisted in the Navy Reserves in 1987 and retired in 2012 after serving for 25 years. I was assigned to the USS Ainsworth (FF-1090) and served on her for 1 year. I was activated and deployed to Kuwait in 2007-2008 for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. I retired in June 2012 and a Command Chief. I loved the experience and was proud to serve my country.

Enlisted in the Navy Reserves in 1987 and retired in 2012 after serving for 25 years. I was assigned to the USS Ainsworth (FF-1090) and served on her for 1 year. SSgt served in S.E. Asia during Tet & TDY to Korea during Pueblo Crisis. Returned to US in 1969 & spent the remainder of my time in the Mojave Desert at Edwards AFB working on all of the experimental aircraft the AF was testing. The Astronauts were also trained there. It was an unbelievable party 7/20/69 when we landed on the moon. Definitely a great time to serve.

Timothy A. Rainey
Class of 1975
Army, 20+ Years
Throughout Colonel (Ret) Rainey’s more than 27+ year professional career, he distinguished himself in the fields of academia, diplomacy and military operations. He held a wide variety of leadership positions of increasing responsibility and served in Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terror. In addition, COL Rainey held several key positions of influence on US international policy teams and is a recognized authority on African political and military policy and strategy. In his academic career he impacted hundreds of students, ranging from West Point Cadets to senior military officers from around the world.
