An American Studies and English teacher at Pleasant Hill and Ygnacio Valley High Schools (CA) from 1965 to 1991. A veteran of WWII, serving aboard the USS Ramsden in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Angelyn (Kirk), daughters Beverly of Concord CA, Patt and Carole of Rogue River OR, two nephews, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
