About Violanta MOORE, 69, affectionately known as "Vi," passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 4, 2024. Born on October 2, 1954, in Plymouth, NC, she was the third of five children born to the late William and Geneva Moore. Vi's journey led her to the Lehigh Valley in her early years, where she graduated from Easton High School. Continuing education, she went on to study at Empire Beauty School and obtained licenses in cosmetology and management. Vi's life was marked by a profound dedication to others. For nearly two decades, she poured her heart and soul into Early Bloomers daycare in Allentown. There, she not only provided care but also showered the children with love and treated them as if they were her own. In addition to her work at the daycare, she extended her skills and compassion at Phoebe nursing home. Vi left a significant mark on all she encountered. Her interest spanned a wide range. In her early years, she found joy in cheering for her son's sports games, dancing, and traveling. Vi loved cooking as it was her special way she expressed her love, turning each meal into a gesture of warmth and care. Some of her famous dishes include oatmeal raisin cookies, pound cake and the infamous rice and beans. As time unfolded, Vi's interests evolved, and she discovered great joy in the laughter of her grandchildren and the warmth of heartfelt conversations with her loved ones. Vi is survived by her three sons: Rashad Gibbs (and his wife Nichol), Terrill Gibbs, and David Gibbs, all of whom call Allentown, PA, home. Vi's legacy extends to her five beautiful grandchildren: Kahleel Foster, Nehemiah Gibbs, Julianna Gibbs, Wynter Gibbs, and Diem Gibbs, each a testament to the love and family bonds she cherished. Beyond her immediate family, Vi is fondly remembered by her siblings: Bobby Moore, Carolyn Drake, Daphne Moore and Penelope Fennell. Together, they gather to celebrate and cherish the memories of a life well-lived, a life marked by love, dedication, and the enduring bonds of family that will forever be in their hearts. The impact of Vi's kindness and warmth will continue to resonate for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
