About	Craig (Ozzie) D. Osborne, 69, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020. He was born in Easton, PA, to the late Daniel and Mildred (Ruschman) Osborne. Craig was married to Beverley Harrison of Phillipsburg, NJ, for 47 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Amy Contakes (Matthew Contakes), Rebekah Brown (Andrew Brown), Leah Chichester (Daniel Chichester), and Philip Osborne (Patience Osborne); stepson Jim Warner; grandchildren (Isaiah, June, Justus, Jude, Zach, Christian, Grace, Lucy, Hutchinson, Fineas, Daschel, Meredith, Seth, DJ); brothers, Daniel Osborne and family, David Osborne and family, and his cockapoo Sophie, a loyal companion. He was preceded in death by Mark Osborne, his brother. Craig graduated from Easton Area High School in 1968. He served as a combat medic during the Vietnam War, and was wounded during the conflict. He served with the 5th Mechanized Division in Quang Tri, Vietnam. Craig attended college in Monterey, CA, and Northampton Community College in Pennsylvania. He worked at numerous jobs over the years, including the construction industry, IT, and a 20-year career with the United States Postal Service. He was well known on his route in downtown Easton. He served throughout his life in everything from coaching Little League Baseball, leading church youth groups, counseling veterans, to organizing a regional prayer network. Craig was an avid reader and lifetime learner; he enjoyed meeting new people and building relationships across ethnic and socioeconomic groups. He volunteered at the Northampton County Prison, Betel UK, New Covenant Christian Community Church and a host of other local organizations. Craig enjoyed long rides along the river with his wife, Beverley, walking, and spending time at the lake house with his family and friends. He was loved and admired in the community and impacted many lives. He will be remembered for his laughter, passion for Jesus, his crooked finger, long phone calls, endless stories, and love for people. At the request of family, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, individual donations can be made to: Restoration Ministries, 525 West Chestnut Street, Shamokin, PA 17872 c/o Mercy House of Ashland (A house dedicated to providing care for women and their families). We would also like to thank the palliative care group and the hospice care team for all of their care and to the many friends for all their visits and prayers.
