About	Judith Ann Kessler, 63, of Palmer Township, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Easton Hospital while she was surrounded by her loving family. Born: August 2, 1950, in Easton, she was the only child, and loving daughter, of the late Kenneth A. and Velma Cornelius Kessler. Judy and her parents enjoyed a very loyal and close relationship. In addition to travelling, they enjoyed being together and just having fun. Personal: Judy was a graduate of Easton High School, class of 1968, and Easton Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. Subsequently, she began a nursing career, at Easton Hospital, starting as a staff nurse with progression to nursing supervisor, spanning the years 1971 to 2012, until retirement. In 1977, during her tenure as a registered nurse, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education from East Stroudsburg University. Her commitment to her work and devotion to Easton Hospital, the staff and friends she worked with through the years, remained unwavered through out her life. Memberships: She was a member of New Creation U.C.C. Palmer Township, where she served as an Elder, and Treasurer of the church, and President and Vice President of the consistory. She was also a member of the Easton Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association where she served as President, Vice President and board member. Memberships also include, Senior Circle and the Women's Board of Easton Hospital. Survivors: She is survived by two maternal aunts, Kay Noble and her husband George, and Ellen Clewell and her husband Harry, all of Easton; three godchildren, Jerome Pascua, Alicia Herczog and Laura Buffi; close and dear friends, Dr. Alex and Terry Pascua, and Linda and David Fowler; in addition to several cousins with whom she held a special bond. Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 am in New Creation U.C.C., 3730 Nicholas St, Easton, PA 18045 with Rev. Paul Cronin presiding. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Schmidt Funeral Home, PC, 407 Belvidere St., Nazareth, and 10:00 to 11:00 am Friday in the church. Burial will follow in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Memorials: Contributions, in memory of Judy, made be offered to the church.
