About	David Lee Evans, 57, of Northampton, passed away peacefully at home into the glory of the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2007. Supported by the strength of his family and friends, Dave had been battling cancer for the last year and a half. Born September 4, 1950, in Easton, he was the son of the late Raymond and Olive Searfoss Evans. Dave grew up in Riegelsville. He was confirmed at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riegelsville where services will be held to celebrate his life. Most recently, Dave had been attending services at Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville. After graduating from Easton High School in 1968, Dave worked 37 years for FiberMark, formerly Riegel Paper Company, in Warren Glen, N.J. in the finishing room and maintenance department. He also worked as a policeman for the borough of Riegelsville after graduating from Temple University’s Municipal Police Officers Training Academy in 1980. Dave was a third generation member of the Riegelsville Fire Company and a former member of the Riegelsville Emergency Squad. Dave enjoyed coaching the Silver Creek Midget Football team. He loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Dave will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his ability to make people feel comfortable. He could tackle any job with the determination to see it through to completion. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. The essence of his life was time spent with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband and loving father. Survivors: Wife, Pam, of thirteen years; two daughters, Cortney Evans-Cooper, Palmer Township, Ashley L. Evans, Lehighton. Grandchildren, Kelsie, Shane and Evan David, were the joy of his life. He was a loving step-father to Beth and Jeff Guldin; two brothers, Terry of Riegelsville, Tracy of Pipersville; one niece, Lauren Lee. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Riegelsville, PA. Pastor Kevin Fetterhoff, pastor of Bethany Wesleyan, will officiate Dave’s services. Interment will be in the Riegelsville Union Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday, at the church and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.
