About	James S. Metzgar, 36, of New York, NY, formerly of Palmer Township, died Tuesday* in New York City. He was self-employed in advertising and marketing research. Born Oct 1, 1954, in Easton, he was a son of James J and Mabel Horvath Metzger of Palmer Township. He was a member of Palmer Township Community Moravian Church. He was a 1976 graduate of Moravian College with a bachelor’s degree in biology, and was selected for Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges. He was chairman of the College Social Activities Committee, Vice President of Haupert Union Program Board, Chairman of the Union Governing Board, member of United Student Government, Resident Adviser and Director of Resident Life Advisory Council, and conducted independent research in biology. He was also an Eagle Scout with Troop 17 in Palmer Township. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Rochelle Pritz of Northampton, PA. Services 11 am in Palmer Township Community Moravian Church. Interment in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Ashton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
