| About Me | After nearly 40 years in journalism and every facet of publishing, I retired at age 61 due to medical conditions. Prior to retirement, I worked nearly the past eight years for a company in Lincoln, Neb., that published fancy corporate newsletters for railroads. In that job, I traveled to various locations throughout the country to interview and photograph railroaders of all crafts. I then would return to the office to write the stories and format the photos and copy for design. I still hunt big game, but not as much as in the past. I continue making both steel blade, and flintknapped blade, knives which I've shipped to many states. My wonderful wife, Gannie, continues to work and is a true blessing. My beefcake son, Brandon, 21, works in Fremont, Neb., where he continues to lift weights, exercise and maintain a strict health regimen. I also have become a domestic god handling a great deal of the household chores. Since I am generally home during the day, I also sing at funerals.
