About Me	College, grad school, served in Peace Corps, Mensonso, Ashanti Region, Ghana, as a rural health volunteer. Came home, investigated embezzlement and electoral fraud in labor unions for the Dept. of Labor, then joined Treasury where I worked on anti-money laundering and counterterrorism finance policy in eastern Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. Got married, October 2003, to a sommelier/chef. Dropped out for one year, moved to Carson City, Nevada, worked for the Gaming Control Board. It didn't take and we returned to DC, now I am again doing the anti money laundering and counterrorism finance work - identical portfolio as when I was at Treasury but now I am at the State Dept. We also are actively involved in dog rescue; in addition to our three dogs (1 cocker, a cocker-peke mix and 1 lab-hound mix) and two cockatiels, we also foster rescued dogs and I serve as an adoption coordinator for the res...(read more)
