About Me	Let's get something clear immediately: I have never won an Olympic Medal or Nobel Prize. I was, however, the North Haverill Fair, Guernsey champion in New Hampshire at the age of twelve. I consider this to be the equivalent of the Olympics and Nobels. I make my living as a Professor of History and have to guard against giving friends and family impromptu lectures. Despite being adults, my three daughters are tied for being the three sweetist/cutist kids in the world. In no particular order I love lobster, the Red Sox, Codfish and Salmon, walking, English cars, my kayak, live theatre, golf, horseracing, opera and country music, shrimp and chicken curry, Winnipeg, Boston, New York, Washington, San Antonio, New England, Vancouver, London, Paris, Moscow, Desperate Housewives, Martinis, blueberries, and reading newspapers. In no particular order, I hate the Yankees, milk, square dancing, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, pants without pleats (except for jeans, of course), people who blow car horns frequently, Fox News, Jerry Lewis movies, science fiction, Pontiac cars, and soft drinks (with the obvious exception of Tonic Water for Gin Tonics).
