I served in the United States Air Force from November 1981 to January 1985. I was in the Civil Engineering Squardron in the Real Property Office and was responsible for training all base building managers. I was stationed at both Barksdale AFB, Shreveport, LA and at Bergstrom AFB, Austin Texas. In the NCO Leadership School, I earned the award, Espirit de Corps. My son, David W. Alexander, II, now proudly serves in the U.S. Air Force in Avionics Systems at Barksdale AFB, LA.
