I'm proud to submit my little sister for this nomination. As a 1983 Hornet grad, she had a very slow start to her career. As she went ino the medical field (x-ray tech) and a cert. medical tech, married and moved down to the Rio grand valley. Two children later and stuck in a dead end job. while visting Houston I had the oppurtunity to have her join me on a job site health ,safety enviromental audit. It was at that point of time in her life, when she realized her call of duty into this field. Mary Helen now holds the positon as an OSHA Federal compliance officer with a masters degree from texas A&M Corpus, christi Texas. she is also one of the first of many female health safety and enviromental compliance officers in Texas. With that said it is now I, who turns to her for guidance,advice and support.
