| About Me | After college graduation I married Sue Lenning who was a sophomore when we graduated. In 72 our duaghter Shelly was born followed by Kimberly in 76. Sue has been a full time homemaker and Mom. Shelly is now a full time homemaker along with managing The Crop Shop, the last business I started after retirement. Kim is a small animal veterinarian in Ankeny. After college I began as a clerk at Umthun Trucking Company, was later personnel manager, sales manager and ultimately operations manager in charge of dispatch, safety and personnel. In 81 I purchased a partnership interest in the Garrett Agency then buying out my partner, later purchasing the Cooper Agency, Tschetter Agency and Security Insurance which was formally the Eagleson Agency.
