Otherwise extremely strong, vigorous and heathly, Bill succumbed to an aggressive form of prostate cancer 2 days after his 74th birthday, only 9 months after the diagnosis. After graduating EOS in 1960, Bill attended Morehead State College in Kentucky. For a period he engaged in entrepreneurial activities, including owning and running a commercial painting business. But his most exciting job saw him traveling the world as Director of Technical Operations for Aqua Scooter Inc.After retirement, Billy - as his many good friends knew him - returned to Ashford where he spent his time harvesting wood for his woodstove, engaging with his wonderful friends, spending time with his loving, and well-loved family, which included his 2 sisters, 3 beloved nieces, and 7 special grandnieces and nephews. Bill was loving, sentimental, politically well-informed and always willing to debate issues. He was devoted to his family, and loved his many good friends.
