Doc has been around the music business since 1974 as a young teenager under the leadership of his father. Doc was born & raised at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Lynchburg Va & graduated from E C Glass High School in 1978, going on to graduate with his first degree at LU in 1982.

In 1985, he Co-produce his first album project with Russell Easter of the Easter Brothers. In 1997 after emceeing a local showcase for about a year he decided to open his own Country Music Showcase in Louisville and called it the NewStar Country Palace, under the NewStar Productions Inc. The showcase was a unique country music club with dance floor and was set as a Branson showcase entertainment complex. He showcased as many young musicians as possible every week, along with veterans of the business. NewStar closed due to the fact he wanted to take it to the next level of a full scale night club and zoning would have prohibit the move. During that tenure he shared the stage and produced shows that had the likes of: Jack Greene, Narvel Felts, Rhet Atkins, Connie Smith, and other Country stars.

In 2000 he formed the WiseSmith Enterprise Management Group with Cathy Lynn, a 40-year accomplished Artist herself. Giving the WiseSmith Group an edge with Doc at the helm of Artist Management/Producing, Cathy Lynn VP working the
A & R circuit looking for fresh new talent to work with, along with a group of music industry professional that takes care of the Artists personal, financial, and development needs at the on set of their career.

In 2002 WiseSmith signed the Group Chamberflow (formerly eclectic), and he set out once again to take a group raw and undeveloped, put them in the studio and produced an album project that would prove very successful in the region. Chamberflow was being played on over 200 radio stations nationwide, and charting in three markets, their single breathe was in the top 5 most requested songs on WLRS 16 weeks running, & they have performed as the headlining Artist at 4th Street Live before an audience of over 12,000 people.

Through the years he has prided himself on knowing how to get the music industry people to take notice of local & regional acts while getting the heavy hitters involved in the local music scene. His network of players in the industry have a deep respect for his accomplishments, & his no nonsense approach of making things happen for original Artist.

Now the group sees it's expansion gaining ground from the west coast to the east coast.

He has been a public speaker since the age of 18, & holds 4 earned degrees to his credit; Associate, Bachelors, Masters, and a PHD.
