Ann Wiltbank, of Calabash, died in Tuesday afternoon crash.
SUNSET BEACH -- The Brunswick County District Attorney’s Office is determining what charges will be filed after a Calabash woman died in a car collision Tuesday.
Ann Wiltbank, 71, was killed in a three-vehicle crash just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday near Sunset Beach, according to the N.C. Highway Patrol. The crash happened on U.S. 17 near N.C. 904.
According to a Highway Patrol news release, a 2019 Toyota passenger car was traveling north on U.S. 17 and failed to stop for a red light at N.C. 904. The vehicle struck a 2010 Mazda in the intersection, hitting it in the driver’s side door. The impact pushed the Mazda into a Dodge van in the southbound lane of U.S. 17.
