About Event
*** For Dunbarton High School Class of 1975 Alumni and DHS Educators only - 100 person limit ***
My long-time Bay Ridges friend, Barry Duncan (Victoria, B.C.), has asked me (Barry Tripp, Pickering) to assist the Organizing Committee with the 50th Anniversary of the DHS Class of '75 Reunion. He helped organize a prior reunion for the 25th Anniversary. The 50th is taking place on Saturday, September 6, at George Ashe Community Centre in Pickering Ontario.
Event Time: 3:30 to 11:00 pm
Pre-event Hike: We would like to offer a couple of choices for those who are able and interested. The first choice is a hike along the trails of Petticoat Creek that would last an hour or so and start around 1 pm. The second choice would be a walk or hike to Dunbarton High. Unfortunately, new rules do not allow easy and affordable access to the inside of the High School. Barry Tripp will capture photo opportunities outside of DHS in terrestrial and aerial drone formats.
Dinner:
A decision has not yet been made on the type of dinner, but it may include Thai, Chinese, Greek, Vietnamese food and Pizza.
Drinks:
Drink tickets will be available for purchase (wine, beer). Soft drinks and water will be available.
The primary purpose of this event is to reunite old acquaintances, see if you recognize anyone, and have a great old time.
As the venue has been paid for, we ask everyone to pay for the event beforehand ($40 per person). This payment will offset the cost of the venue, your meal, the drink server and the permits required for the event. The easiest way to register and pay for the event is to complete an e-transfer to:
