I am nominating Jack DeLorenzo for induction into the Dover HS Hall of Fame. Jack attended Dover HS from 1956-1960. During this time he was a three sport star in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. In his junior and senior years Jack was named to the All-County, and All State teams in football and basketball, and in 1960 he was named to the Al-State-All-groups in baseball. Upon graduation he attended Albright College where he lettered in his freshman year, doing all the kicking for the only undefeated and untied team in Albright's history. He transferred to Morehead state University, and upon graduation he returned to Dover to teach Social Studies and coach football and baseball. His Administrative career began at Morris Knolls. He contiuned to give back to students by officiating Football, basketball, and umpiring baseball for over 15 years. We moved to Massachusetts in 1982, where Jack was an Assistant Principal at Silver Lake Regional High School,
and then served in that capacity, as well as Principal at Cohasset Middle HS for 20 years. In 2003 he was named Assistant Principal of the year for the State of Mass., and 2010 he was Inducted into to the Wrestling Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport. Jack, one of 15 members of his family that are educators, gave 41 years of his life to making a difference in the lives of young adults. His proudest moment was at his last year at Cohasset's graduation ceremonies when the students and parents honored him with a trip to Italy as a thank-you.
