I just wanted to add my best friend from Douglas High School. Roy Basegiio has been an inspiration to me all my life and I miss him terribly to this day. I have never had a best friend quite like him since and his untimely death in 1984 after a brief illness has left a void which has never been filled.
I was overseas during the time of his illness and death and I never had a chance to tell him all this. He was a great kid and would have gone on to great things, he would have been famous. Through it all, he would still have remembered who his friends were and that's what I miss most about him.
