Served five years active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Technician (communications intelligence). Completed training at the Naval Technical Training Center, Corry Station, Pensacola Florida and at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. Served four years at Naval Security Activity Group, Kunia Hawaii (Pearl Harbor) from 2000-2004. Honors include Good Conduct Medal, Joint-Service Achievement Medal, Joint Commendation Medal.
