It's a pendant, not a ring. The chain is missing. Apparently, the chain must have broken, and the pendant fell off.

On one side, the pendant is either gold or gold tone, with a square-shaped black enamel or paint background, trimmed in gold on the outside borders, with the Dothan High School circular logo in the center. The gold clasp at the top, and a gold point at the bottom, gives the rectangular shape the overall appearance of an oblong, almost diamond shape.

The reverse side (solid gold or gold tone) has the initials "C.A.H." in cursive writing.

We found it in a jewelry box when my sisters and I cleaned our parents' house after they both passed away.

There's three siblings in my family, and we all attended Dothan High School. Our graduating years were 1968, 1973 and 1978.

None of us have a clue as to how the graduation pendant got where it did or who it could possibly belong to! We thought, perhaps, that a friend lost it in the house, and our parents later found it and placed it aside with the intention of finding the owner, but this apparently fell through the cracks, and we have no idea how long the owner has been separated from their pendant - likely many years!

Neither of us could figure out who the initials belong to or how the pendant came to be where we found it!

We set it aside and promptly forgot about it, we were so overwhelmed with the loss of her mother and trying to decide what to do with our parents' possessions.

I ran into it, today, and decided that something must be done to get this graduation pendant to its owner!
