Served at Wright Patterson AFB, "AF Materials Laboratory"; Kirtland AFB, "AF Weapons Laboratory" and "Instructor Inter-service Nuclear Weapon School"; Andrews AFB, "HQ Systems Command IG", Dept of Energy, "Military Liaison Office"; Kirtland AFB, "AF test and Eval Center". Full Retired in 1995 with 18 years service as part of the Peace Dividend draw-down.

KIA Viet Nam. He needs to be remembered, he was way to young.
Jerry Tryon
Jerry Tryon Class of 1967
Army, 6 Years
Served during the Vietnam Era. Completed one tour each in both Germany (Stratcom) at Pirmasens and Viet Nam (101st Airborne Division in 1969) at Camp Eagle near Hue received the Bronze Star and the Army commendation Medals, Later served 2 years at Fort Knox KY with the 194th Armored Brigade. finished the Army as an E-5 then worked at Ft Knox as a Federal Butcher for nearly 10 years.

Served during Vietnam, Desert Shield and Dersert Storm One. Worked as a graphic art specislist and was an Avionics Comm/ Nav Repair Specialist on RF-4Cs. I miss the lifestyle and being part of something special. But l don't miss being a political pawn by people in Wsshington who never served in uniform.

Joined the AF in May 1978. Served 11+ years on active duty as an Optometry Tech and an Air Traffic Controller at Wurtsmith AFB, MI, KI Sawyer AFB MI, Moody AFB GA, Malmstrom AFB MT. Left active duty to join the Air National Guard (Arkansas, Missouri, Florida) in Admin and Chaplain Assistant. Transferred to the AF Reserve attached to MacDill AFB and Hurlburt Fld as a Chaplain Assistant. Will retire Feb 2011 with 33 yrs total time.
