Anthony Battles
Class of 2006
Marine Corps, 6 Years
Deployed on the 13th MEU to conduct counter piracy operations off the coast of Somalia. Trained Jordan's Special operations on Raids and Reconnaissance. Deployed to Afghanistan on 2010 to conduct counter Insurgency Operations in Helmand Province. Conducted over 80 combat patrols and over 57 direct fire engagements with Taliban forces. Awarded the Purple heart and Navy commendation Medal with a V for Valor. Redeployed back to Afghanistan on 2011. Conducted over 40 Narc-o raids which lead to the seizure of over 3,000 pounds of Opium and dozens of Firearms.
